This initiative aims to bridge academic research with the practical needs of the modern economy, promoting effective collaboration among students, researchers, and industry professionals. Qualco Intelligent Finance, a member of Qualco Group, provides alternative financing solutions through technology platforms that operate as integrated financial services ecosystems.
This partnership aims to promote innovation, enhance participants' skills, and cultivate a collaborative culture that benefits both the market and society. The initiative includes targeted actions focusing on joint research and the practical implementation of technological solutions. Also, interdisciplinary working groups, composed of Qualco Intelligent Finance executives and AUEB academics, will be formed to exchange expertise and co-develop new models.
AUEB’s expertise and research capabilities will be leveraged to deliver projects directly addressing real market needs. At the same time, Qualco Intelligent Finance will actively support AUEB’s research activities by backing initiatives such as the lecture series “Science & Society in Dialogue for a Sustainable Future” and the student competition “Text as Data in Economics: The Power of AI.” The partnership also includes internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students at Qualco Intelligent Finance, offering them valuable experience in a dynamic professional environment.
As the Rector of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Professor Vassilios Vasdekis stated: “This initiative reflects our commitment to bringing scientific and academic knowledge closer to the real-world needs of the economy. Through targeted collaborations such as this with Qualco Intelligent Finance, our students gain essential skills and the opportunity to apply theory in practical, professional contexts.”
