As part of a five-year cooperation memorandum signed with the Department of Economics and the Laboratory of Economic Policy at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Qualco Intelligent Finance supports, as Gold Sponsor, the series of lectures “Science & Society in Dialogue for a Sustainable Future” co-organised by the Hellenic Studies Program at Yale’s MacMillan Center. The lectures aim to enhance access to academic knowledge and promote a culture of science in Greece.
The first lecture, titled “Shipping and Global Trade: New Perspectives on the Role of Transport Networks and Industrial Policy” took place on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Myrto Kalouptsidi, Augustus Cobb Professor of International Economics at Harvard University, presented an innovative approach to connecting shipping with global trade through mapping transport networks, quantifying the cost of global disruptions, and evaluating investments in port infrastructure, proposing a roadmap for a sustainable industrial policy.
Through initiatives that foster a culture of collaboration among students, researchers, and industry professionals, Qualco Intelligent Finance links academic research and innovation with the needs of the modern economy.
